Our weekend classes are open to teens in high school and middle school and are held at The Comedy Spot at Ballston Common Mall.

High school age:
Master Class and College Audition Intensive
For students with acting experience planning to study theatre in college
8 2-hour classes, beginning February 4 NOTE SCHEDULE CHANGE
$200 (20% discount for Cappies participants)
Saturday mornings, 9-11 AM
Preparation is key to winning the audition! This eight-week course is designed for students ages 15-18 who are planning to study theatre in college. Audition requirements for colleges and conservatories can vary widely. Our intensive class will help you build an arsenal of monologues in different lengths and styles, from Classical to Shakespeare to Contemporary to Modern.
Topics to be covered include:
- Stage time with individual coaching
- Tricks and tips for “cold readings”
- Resources for finding monologues and plays
- How to find topnotch theatre programs, scholarships, and auditioning opportunities
- Scene work as an introduction to advanced acting techniques
Tuition: $200 ($150 for Cappies-participating students: a discount of 25%)
8 2-hour classes - Saturdays, 9 to 11 AM, beginning February 4th
Class size is limited. An additional session may be scheduled if needed.
