Drama Camp for ages 7-18
The 2011 camp season is finished, but we expect to have similar offerings in 2012.
Our summer camp offers small groups, a 6-1 adult-to-camper ratio, and an easy-going pace to make learning fun and exciting.
Camps for elementary-age students include supervised playground time, while teenagers enjoy brief daily excursions within Ballston Common Mall.

Week 1 – June 27–July 1
Master Acting Class
Ages 13-17

The Master Class is designed for the serious acting students looking to further their exploration into advanced acting techniques. We explore the teachings of Stanislavski, Uta Hagen, and other great acting teachers. Class includes proper audition training.
Students will come out of the class with two
audition-ready monologues and having worked on two scenes from classic American theatre. A great resource for students planning to go into acting jobs or higher education in the theatre profession.

Improvisation in Storytelling

This fun-filled week of improvisational theatre games will focus on classic folk tales and fairy tales as students learn the fundamentals of theatre and stagecraft. Students will stretch their imaginations and minds as they explore story structure.

Party planning for kids! Learn to host the best parties ever for your friends! Use improv for fun and entertainment, with games that can be played at parties, scouts or play dates. Each day will have a new theme.
Week 5 – July 25-29
Teen Improv Boot Camp
Ages 13-18

Improv Boot Camp is a five-day crash course in the fundamentals of improvisational theatre. Day One is dedicated to TheatreSports. Day Two will concentrate on improv as a tool of playwriting, such as used in Second City and other major improv troupes. Day Three will focus on Long Form, following the techniques of Del Close and other artists. Day Four will be TheatreSports, Part 2. Day Five will be Improv in Performance: stage tips for making your work sing.
Each session will also include workshops on theatre crafts and make-up techniques, as well as an introduction to theatre appreciation. Improvisation will happen every day!
